Four parts. One rehearsal.

Psalmster helps groups learn to sing psalms and hymns in soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Each singer follows the score and hears their part on their own phone, tablet, or computer.

Rehearse together

One person leads the rehearsal. Psalmster shares the selected hymn and playback controls with the group, keeping the devices playing together.

  1. Start a rehearsal.

Open Psalmster and expand Start a rehearsal. On Lead, choose hymns and build a playlist.

  2. Invite the singers.

Share the group’s QR code or six-digit code. Each singer opens Psalmster, joins the group, and chooses a voice part.

  3. Listen and sing.

The leader presses Play. Singers follow the score on Sing and adjust their own listening mix. The leader can stop, change the tempo, or return to a passage.

Learn your part

Rehearse on your own by starting a group on a single device. Listen to your part, hear how it fits with the other voices, and repeat passages at a comfortable tempo.

Keep your hymns together

Select a hymn directly from Lead for rehearsal. Use Songs to manage your hymnals, import song files, review lyrics and scores, and edit a hymn or change its key.

What you need

Use a current browser with JavaScript and sound enabled, and keep each device connected to the internet during a group rehearsal. Each singer turns on sound when joining. If a device falls behind, the leader can use Resync.

Psalmster plays musical guide parts to support your singing. It does not transmit singers’ microphones or provide an online voice call.
